It Takes

A Village

Our Story

We are made to be witnessed. Connected. Expressed.

But we have been severed and separated from the land, from our ancestors, from our traditions, and from our direct experience with the mystery.

We have been propagandized and sold a lie of individualism.

Hidden Village is here to hold you in community as we decolonize our minds and reconnect our hearts through ancestral arts, exploring the mystery and community shadow work.

Learn where your people come from,  learn to have direct experience with the mystery, learn to find your village.

Reconnecting you to land, people and the divine.  It takes a Village…

“Hidden Village is stoking the fires of the village heart! It’s bringing together traditional medicine, magic, and cultural practices “in place” with the synergy of the Italian American diaspora and their specific relational and social conditions to build a better world now and for the future generations. ”

— Lisa Fazio, The Root Circle

“No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell," - Carl Jung.

We must be willing to reach the depths of our unconscious, our shadow, our own personal underworld in order to be able to show up whole to serve our community. And our ancestral roots can give us the tools and courage to explore that space and come back a more liberated human.

“Mike’s devotion to the community body while holding the cultural soma is something rarer and rarer today. As we, as a society, become more removed from each other, as the narrative separates us, Mike’s work sews our tears together, weaves the bridge, and insist on collectivity. Mike has a gift in holding up those who offer and also those who need offering to. This is circle work and this is the work we need. His presence in community space is fierce, but humble. He shows up strong but never dominates. This also is rarer and rarer today. I’m so grateful to have met Mike and it’s an honor to collaborate as a friend, creative, and Sicilian kinfolk.”

— Marybeth Bonfligio, Radici Siciliane
